The death of Kim Jong Il revived interest in 'Team America'

In all honesty, if it were not for the comedy Team America: World Police , few in America would know who is Kim Jong-il, the former North Korean leader died over the weekend.

The 2004 film, played entirely by puppets, tells the story impossible to elite U.S. soldiers fighting in the world to various dictators and enemies of Uncle Sam, Saddam Hussein, Muammar Gaddafi, Osama bin Laden and, of course, Kim Jong- il.

Thanks to this, the puppet Kim became a trend in social networks within hours of announcing that the president had died aboard a train in North Korea, at 69 years.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone, producers and writers of the movie (and creators of the series South Park ), I spent several moments of Team America Kim Jong-il, even a romantic theme that the dictator in his palace sing: I'm Ronery so (ie I'm So Lonely , in a mockery of the character's accent).

There was never any official reaction from Kim and the North Korean government to parody. But according to several press reports, the "supreme leader" was a big fan of film and had a collection of about 20,000 DVDs, and a special appreciation for the films of Elizabeth Taylor.
