London authorities have tried to calm the population after a mysterious creature, apparently a crocodile was spotted near the Olympic stadium in the capital.
As reported in the local newspaper The Telegraph , the authorities have recently received a report of an attack on a goose in the river that circles the park, they believe responsible for the incident can be a big fish instead of a reptile or snake giant, as rumored.
A local resident, Mike Wells, claimed to have witnessed an attack from his boat and said the animal was the same "beast" that six years ago attacked a goose. At that time, the people fueled the hypothesis that also was a big crocodile or a giant turtle because of the deep footprints left on the shore.
"The bird fell vertically. I was stunned. There was no sign that it was that attacked him, but he was obviously very big," Wells said on the last episode.
London officials were interested in talking to witnesses, especially those who have made videos or photographed attack any creature.
However, British Waterways, navigation body of England, said it had no reports confirming the existence of a predator in the vicinity of the Olympic Park since 2005.
"Our workers have reported the existence of tunnels and tracks in the river, but we were never informed about it," said an official source.
"We do not have a crocodile. The potential predators may be a big fish or a mink, known to hunt geese," said the representative of the corporation.
Meanwhile, the Organizing Committee for the Games in London declared to have no information on any sightings of "beasts" in the Olympic zone.
